SUMMARY:BLE Open House
DESCRIPTION:\nJoin our #Parea!\n\n\n \n\n\nOur mission is to bring the community together for dance\, culture\, and\, of course\, kefi. At our Open House\, get to know the Boston Lykeion. We’ll teach a variety of traditional Greek dances\, and share info about our programs over light refreshments. Musicians Sandy Theodorou and Rohan Gregory of REVMA will join us to play some traditional Greek tunes. Our event is free\, and all are welcome!\n\n\n \n\n\nA non-profit organization dedicated to Hellenic culture\, the BLE engages in teaching\, research\, and fieldwork on Greek folk dance and related traditions\, customs\, attire\, and music. The BLE has six departments focused on key areas of interest that organize events and activities year-round; volunteers are always welcome:\n\n\n\n \tTraditional Dance\n \tTraditional Attire and Decorative Arts\n \tTraditional Music\n \tFolklore Library\n \tGreek-American Women as Preservers of Hellenic Folk Culture and Traditions\n \tGuardianship of the Greek Language\n\n
