What a party! Huge thanks to everyone who joined the BLE at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Somerville for Karnavali on Saturday – especially our sponsors and benefactors, our musicians and dancers, and our members and volunteers. Featuring traditional dances from the island of Kalymnos and music by Revma and special guests Michalis Kappas and Panayotis League, the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon planned another entertaining night for guests, building on the success of previous Karnavali events to bring Greek carnival flavor to Boston.
Local businesses Ball Square Fine Wines, Dawn Georgiadis/Greek Music Live Boston, The Feisty Greek, New City Microcreamery, and Rail Trail Flatbread Co donated exciting raffle prizes, and ISOS Realty and Newton Corner House of Pizza generously supported the event.
