The New England Folk Festival Association is a non-profit educational and cultural organization, incorporated under the General Laws of Massachusetts to encourage, sponsor, and preserve high standards of performance of the folk arts and traditions in New England and elsewhere. In addition to the annual Festival, NEFFA supports a weekly contra dance, the annual Ralph Page weekend, a grants program for folk artists, educational programs, and more.
The New England Folk Festival, widely known by the name NEFFA, is an annual folk festival that blends dance, music, crafts, and food from many places and cultures. 2025 is the 81st annual Festival and we hope that you will join us! The Festival is run by the New England Folk Festival Association, a cultural and educational, volunteer-run, non-profit organization. The talent of our performers is also provided on a volunteer basis.
This year, the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon will join the NEFFA festival to present “Greek Participatory Dance,” traditional Greek dance walkthroughs including island and mainland dances.
