Boston Marathon Wreath Ceremony
The Consul General of Greece in Boston Mr. Stratos Efthymiou and the Alpha Omega Council cordially invite you to the annual presentation of the traditional olive wreaths from Greece to the Boston Athletic Association for the crowning of the victors of the BAA Boston Marathon. Women of the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon will participate in the ceremony by presenting the wreaths, dressed in the all-white attire that symbolized the elegance of the priestesses (ιέρειες) of Ancient Greece.
