BLE presents Karnavali 2017
Join us for Karnavali, an annual night of music and dancing in celebration of Apokries, the Greek carnival season. This year, the BLE dance troupe will showcase traditions from the island of Kalymnos, with music by Revma and special guests Michalis Kappas and Panayotis League joining with live Kalymnian music. Costumes are encouraged! Tickets sold at the door ($25; $20 with student ID; children 12 and under free.) Cash bar & food sold by the Dormition of the Virgin Mary church kitchen.
Find out more »Sixth Annual Maliotis Greek Dance Workshop
An annual workshop featuring local instructors, including Irene and Mike Savas of the BLE, leading 75-minute dance workshops focused on specific regions. For the first time this year, the workshop will have a glendi with mezedakia following the first day's workshops and a second day of basic dance lessons and masterclasses.

This coming Saturday, March 25th, our dance troupe will participate in the City of Somerville's Celebration of Greek Independence Day, in collaboration with the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. The Consul General of Greece in Boston Mrs. Iphigenia Kanara and the Alpha Omega Council cordially invite you to the annual presentation of the traditional olive wreaths from Greece the Boston Athletic Association for the crowning of the victors of the BAA Boston Marathon. Women of the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon will participate in the ceremony by presenting the wreaths, dressed in the all-white attire that symbolized the elegance of the priestesses (ιέρειες) of Ancient Greece.

Come join us on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. for the the annual Boston Greek Independence Day Parade commemorating Greece’s march to freedom, which began on March 25th, 1821. The 2017 Boston Greek Parade will end at the corner of Exeter and Boylston Street with the EU flag in front of the Lenox Hotel.
